THE NAME
"One who finds the genuine."
Dénicheur is a French word for a child in the forest who always finds the hidden egg — the one with the eye for what is real. It became the name of a couture house founded in Seoul in 1991, built on that same instinct: finding the genuine in every garment, every stage, every moment.
What began as a small boutique in Gangnam has grown into Korea's leading couture house for stage and bridal — dressing presidential inaugurations, Olympic ceremonies, and the defining stages of K-POP.

The Beginning
Founded in Gangnam, Seoul. A small boutique with a vision for original design.
1997
Couture Focus
Pivoted to bridal couture. Renamed to Dénicheur by Seo Seungyeon.
2008
The Stage Calls
First collaboration with K-POP stylists. Began dressing Sumi Jo for state events.
2013
National Stage
Presidential inauguration dress. K-POP Collection in Seoul.
2015
The Turning Point
Girls' Generation "Lion Heart" — 18 costumes in one week. K-POP became the core.
